New Mexico Long-Term Care Certification Catalog

Training Requirements

Initial Certification Requirement:

Initial 8-hour NAIC long term care training course

Resident Producers:

A New Mexico resident agent may complete the training requirements in any state provided the Office of Superintendent has approved the course for long term care credit prior to the agent taking the course.

Non-Resident Producers:

New Mexico has adopted training reciprocity. The satisfaction of the long term care training requirements in any state will satisfy the training requirements in New Mexico for non-resident agents.

Refresher Certification Training:

New Mexico requires a 4-hour course every 24 months.
