Michigan Insurance CE Update

Public Act 572 – License renewal dates will change in 2010 to every 2 years based on birth date and year. Early compliance of CE prior to Dec 31, 2009 MAY exempt producers from the first round of compliance under the new DOB review date.

Effective January 1, 2010 the Michigan insurance CE review date will be converted  to align with a licensee’s birth month. This update adjusts the Michigan insurance CE compliance period to the following:

• Licensees born in odd years will have CE due the first day of their birth month every two years in all odd years.
• Licensees with dates of birth in even years will have CE due the first day of their birth month every two years in all even years.
