The end of the year is rapidly approaching and so are many license renewal deadlines! October is always a good time to double check your paperwork or verify with your state that you have completed the necessary amount of insurance CE to maintain your license. DON\u2019T wait until the last minute to get it done and DON\u2019T forget any additional requirements you may need.<\/p>\n

Do you have an ethics, flood or state law requirement?<\/strong> Many states have recently adopted new rules which mandate that ethics training be completed during each compliance period.  Some have even put the rule in place to be completed before the current period is up. Law courses have also been added to several state requirements.<\/p>\n

Do you sell long term care product? <\/strong>States which put in place training regulations in 2007 or the beginning of 2008 are now approaching the end of the 24 month period for renewal training. Is your state one of them? Several carriers have alerted us to the fact that they have put deadlines in place as well to ensure that all their agents are in compliance. Now is a great time to check with your state and your carrier to ensure you are in compliance. Some specific states to look out for are FL, ID, MD, ME, MN, ND, NE, OH, OR, RI, SD and VA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
